Pauline Ward Hayden

Pauline Ward Hayden, 98, of Janesville passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Sadorus, Champaign County, IL on February 15, 1913, the daughter of Thomas and Ida (Patrick) Black. Pauline graduated from Janesville High School in 1931 and Mercy School of Nursing in 1934. She married George Ward in 1937. He died in 1969. She married Marvin Hayden in 1973 and he died in 1974. Pauline was employed over the years as a registered nurse at the Janesville General Motors Plant. She was a member of Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church and the Janesville Woman’s Club.

Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas (Kay) Ward of Janesville, Dean (Judi) Ward of Nekoosa, WI, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to both of her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville. Pastor Jamie Swanson will officiate. Private interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. www.henkeclarson.com.
